I'm not sure if it is a rule in every state. I think the idea does have some merit. I could be wrong but I think we had a small amount of schools in the last 15 years or so play 8 man here in the state. I don't think it was KHSAA but I remember seeing scores in the paper. I think it is an exciting brand of football that for small schools could be great. It can also be pretty inventive

 

The KHSAA did sanction 8 man. I'm not sure exactly why they stopped.

I wasn't sure if the KHSAA was involved. Thats good to know. I just remember it was a small amount of schools so that could of been the issue. Maybe they didn't feel like they had enough teams. I think that really should look at bringing it back and look at giving teams the option of playing it
