They will be without their running back who lead the area in rushing.

I did not know Brown took over at Etown.

Man what a home run hire! Go ahead and put Etown into the conversation in the new 3A and make that class even more impressive. Brown will make them a fine program with the talent already walking the halls.

Yep. In 2015, they will really be in the discussion.

E-town went through a couple years there where they were another example that no program is invincible. Their former coach, Billings, went through two years of it and then was bringing them into the light this year & would have done very well the next two years.

They'll be tough to handle.

Biggest thing that hurts E-town? You have a lot of specialization that goes on at that school. Only a handfull of football kids play other sports, only a couple of basketball kids are multi-sport and the same goes for baseball.

It's actually pretty amazing when you think about it. Here is a school that wins in all three for the most part, and a large portion of the kids only play one sport.

Coach Brown is a fundamentalist and a very good one. Society is a fix it now. I know Brown will be very successful wherever he chooses to coach, but E-Town has had a finesse mentality since the early 2000's when I think Barnett was the coach. Making them physical they way he wants them will not be overnight, but he may have the horses to get on the edge. (Glasgow will have the worse team that they have had in 10+ years) Talent has run out, but they will still WIN some, but this should be a good game.

He will be back.

The last I heard from a player on the team is that he was no longer attending the school. That was about a month or so ago.

He is in the school system. Had a little hiccup, and not at the high school right now, but in the school system still. He will be suiting up, and likely on his way to a 2,000 yard Junior campaign if he stays healthy. Maybe more, who knows.

He can run through you or by you, whichever he decides to do, I know that. Sometimes both..on the same play, multiple times.

May want to consider it his senior year... Age will be an issue

....now THIS I have heard.

Correct...age out as a junior, have also heard the same thing.

Not so fast my friend. Glasgow will return a top 10 rusher (Trig?) and will have a solid group to replace the seniors they lose (they will win 7-8 regular season games and probably push for the region title). Let's face it.. ITS GLASGOW!!! They will be VERY solid, coach Wood always has a physical team. With that said, call etown what you want...but the last time they were winning football games was with Barnett and they beat a bunch of "physical" teams on the way to the turf! Physical is term used when a team isn't very good (for many reasons other than how physical they are). They were a very physical team when Burnett was there (so were his Ft. Knox teams)...those kids would knock your tail feathers loose. I think we confuse "physical" or lack of when a team chooses to throw the ball. Reality is in 2003 they scored 543 points and gave up just over 200 in 15 games. You don't put up those numbers and have a finesse mentality. You don't play that well on defense and get called finesse! Coach Brown usually has good balance (which is often mistaken as 50-50 run-pass, when it simply means being able to do both when you want to). I remember watching his 96 team...Gabe Stone (if my memory serves me) could throw a football 50 yds and knock a tick off a dogs tail! We can call it what we want, but Etown's issues have been a mentality problem deeper than being "physical"...apathy is more like it. When coach brown gets rid of the apathy (on every level), it won't matter what he does...they will be successful!

E'town's not as specialized as you might think, especially in baseball.

Hunter Sullivan, top pitcher, also two-way football starter.

Jack Wilson, third baseman, also two-way football starter.

Connor Kauffeld, starting infielder, top soccer player.

Cody Bridges, infielder/pitcher, solid soccer player.

Austin Freyberger, starter and pitcher, reserve on basketball team.

Peyton Payne, pitcher/outfielder, reserve on basketball team. Part-time starter on football team.

Matthew Coolidge, pitcher/outfielder/runner, played football (had fumble recovery or interception against South Warren).

So E'town's top four pitchers (Sullivan, Bridges, Freyberger, Wilson) all play at least two sports. E'town baseball has six pitchers who play other sports. At LEAST four E'town baseball players also play football.

This is actually incorrect. He has an October Birthday. He will turn 19 in October of his senior year.

Interesting...I will have to check with my source. She was looking at IC and said he will turn 19 October of his Junior year according to his birth date in the school system.

I'm almost 100% positive his bday is October of 1996 which would put him turning 18 this upcoming season as a junior.

It will be interesting to see who all ends up in the backfield under Brown in his Wing T system. Obviously if Cecil is back on the field he is one but due to the single back system we saw the last couple of years other options are really unknown. Washington is the only other player who had any significant carries last year and he was a senior. Hunter Sullivan is a heck of an athlete and took over for Wilson at the QB spot about midway through last season. I could see Sullivan moving to RB in the new system with Wilson going back to QB. Wouldn't be surprised to see Coolidge slide in there somewhere as well. He's a good athlete and will be a sophomore next season. They will have a senior led offensive line who struggled at times last year but should be much improved under Brown.

What is the cut off for turning 19?? May want to check on that as well. I think it may be August
