Will Augusta have all those players back? And who will be coaching them next year?

I can tell you this about Augusta, our kids and Coach; we like being counted out and we don't have a chance. It's worked out pretty well the last few years......

It has worked out well but what if that coach is on his way out?

I don't know anymore than anyone else on that issue (probably less) but my statement is based upon current status. I'm too close to the program to speculate.

I know Code is a good Coach, but Brossart loses Everybody. I don't know how their JV did last year, but don't think they or their freshman team scared anyone like in years past, no disrespect.

Mustang JVs not shabby. 15-3 overall with road wins over Dixie Heights and Holmes. Won the 38th District championship defeating Campbell COunty and Scott (twice) and were NKAC Division II Co-Champs. While we are not as dressed up on paper as sometimes in the past, we are certainly still contenders.

No question Mustang, regardless of Roster "eye test", you guys adapt and compete every year.

I saw them a handful of times and though they won all of those games,JV is what it is and they have to do it against all of these teams varsities next season. As happens every year, they will all probably grow this summer to be 6'7, 6'8 and be the typical Brossart next season, lol.

Will BB be more guard oriented in 14-15?

As you know I am going to give bias to Bracken County. I see their match-up being a close and VERY physical game. It would certainly be great to see the Polar Bears pull out the win and face Augusta in the next round.

The playing field in Bracken County/Augusta has definitly evened up with Brent graduateing and playin at Bellermine (for the record I wish the best and hope his college career is as great or better than his high school career). But the cupboard is not bare in Augusta with 3 retuning starters all juniors and all have started since they were freshman. Will one of the three take their game to the next level? That's the question. Nothing is guarenteed and all reports are saying St. Pat has vastly improved from last season and their stud Sticklen has filled out his 6'5" frame so the Panther better not take them lightly.

For Bracken well we loose 4 starters but return a Sophmore sensation Austin Crawford who I like to compare to Bach. He will be for BCHS what Bach was for AIS. Question is will his supporting cast compare to what Brent had at Augusta? That is to be determined. But Paris has the slight edge as being the favorite this yr and decinitly should be overlooked. As far as the All A goes I really believe all the schools will be better this season and for the first time in a long time there are 4-5 serious contenders.

Would not surprise me if Augusta, Bracken, Paris, Brossart, or Nichalos won this yr. Also feel Robertson will surprise a lot of folks but may not be at the same level as the other 5. As far as Silver Grove I don't know enough about them to comment eithier way.

Sorry for the long post but I had a lot of info in the old noggin I wanted to get out. :thumb:
