The government thugs backed off primarily because of the armed militia that came to support Cliven on this issue. Was brewing into another Waco issue and the PR was just too much for government. Their next move will be to take Mr. Bundy into the legal system and choke him to death slowly through the bureaucratic process, all so Harry Reid's little boy can bring a Chinese solar company into to purchase an undervalued 9,000 acres from Clark County. This whole thing reeks of government abuse and I'm backing Mr. Bundy all the way.

I was thinking the same thing. When one says "the sooner the world is rid of someone the better", without looking too much into it at face value it appears the statement means "when they die the world would be better off.

It could be "out of office/power". I will put on my pet peeve list people who put their own interpretation to a statement and then ask a question as if that is what the person stated. It is disingenuous.
