She assisted at Manual this past season. Interesting - would they hire a person with no head coaching experience? I had wondered if she played any pro ball over seas - they would surely not want another Monique Reid abandoning ship in December scenario ala FC....

The fact that the CAL is seeking a new coach has me baffled. This season Coach Rice did a great job of melding a team that was rebuilding and seemed challenged at the season's outset, into one of the better teams in the 7th region by tourney time. CAL had Eastern dead-to-rites in the district tourney, despite some injuries to a key player or two. Best of luck to Coach Rice, who had an extremely successful run, and to his successor, whoever that might be. Year in and year out, the 28th district is arguably the toughest district, in the toughest region, in the state.

Word is that Fern Creek has their guy......but are being hush hush about who it is. i guess they have to get Board of Ed approval.
