passtheball
Really surprised to not see Sacred Hearts Gretchen Samsel on this list. The stats posted on riherds is impressive. She was an important piece of the puzzle for SHA success this year. She was key in wins over many top teams. I heard she is getting interest from colleges including Bellarmine and Princeton. passtheball
Here's the stats playing against top competition out of the 7th region for Samsel. 2&3 pt 123/260 47.3% 3pt 66/156 42.3% 9.9 pts/gm 2 reb/gm 327 total points Might not make the junior team, but with these numbers should get an invite. She is a good shooter, and a solid player for sure. But, good players fall the cracks without recognition on a daily basis unfortunately.
TD4
Trust me when I say some of the best players fall through the cracks. Not sure I understand why but it does happen and it happens more than most people realize.
jalovell23
I am sure that there are many players that do go unnoticed to the rest of the state. Here locally in the Northern Ky area, Savannah Neace is making a name for herself. Her stats as a junior for St. Henry HS are 10.5 ppg, 8.8 rpg, 4.4 blocks per game. BIGZIG
Who are the top twenty junior girls that stood out this past season? Who are the ones that will be invited to try out for the Kentucky junior all star team? Conner has 2 juniors to be (Taylor Gambrel and Hunter Hendricks ) that have played extensively the past two seasons who should have big years this coming season for the Cougars. RCC9
Conner has 2 juniors to be (Taylor Gambrel and Hunter Hendricks ) that have played extensively the past two seasons who should have big years this coming season for the Cougars. I think they are looking for kids that are juniors this year. The sophomore class in NKY has a ton of good players. I think Ryle, HHS, Conner, Brossart, Walton, Bellevue, Newport, Holmes, HC (1) and Camp Co all have really nice sophomores. But they will have to wait a year. crazy8s
But, good players fall the cracks without recognition on a daily basis unfortunately. South Oldham has 3 top junior players in Jones, VanZant, & Wilson that continue to get overlooked. Although this past season was not up to the caliber of past years, they are worth considering. passtheball
Great list! I think they will give the senior class a run for the money. I heard many of the seniors didn't show up for the tryouts.
