56th District Predictions - Estill (2) vs. Powell (3)

Featured Replies

The good news is who ever wins goes on to the region. The bad news is who ever wins has to play Lee County for the championship.

How many times? I'm sure it happens occasionally, but often enough to say that it is hard to win three times? Lee has beat Owsley and Estill three times this year, Owsley beat Lee and Wolfe three times last year. Wolfe beat Powell three times last year. It just ain't that hard. I'll take the team that has won twice head up every single time. Sure, I'll lose occasionally, but in the long run I would be a very wealthy man.

It depends if the wins are dominant wins or not. Talk to Hazard about beating a team X 3. The past two seasons they beat PCC during the season and lost to them in the tournament. Last year PCC beat Leslie during the season but barly beat Leslie in the tournament by one shot. This year PCC beat Hazard during the season and lost in the tournament. I didn't say this was exact science and the odds do favor the better record but do feel that if both teams are competitive and play fairly close during the season that it can become a mental battle and is sometimes hard to win X 3.

I'm not sure about being a wealthy man with your strategy. You would have lost a bundle on Bodie Miller in the Olympics.

Pressure will Prevail!! :jump:  I love it  :jump:

????????? I was referring to pressure by Estill Co on the Pirates guards. I'm not sure what you think I meant.

Don't know much about skiing but Hazard and PCC split two games the years you refer to. I hope tou are right about Estill and Powell, because I would rather Lee play Powell, because Estill has proven to be the best team. Unfortunately, I look for Lee and Estill to tip it off Friday. BTW, Lee proved that you can beat a team four times in a year last night.

Powell is hungry and has something to prove...Look for them to play tough and win tonight!

I believe this will be a very good game. Estill seems to have a good team and Powell seems to be playing good right now. I am going with Powell in this one in a close one. It is hard to beat a team 3 times.

Estill has a great chance to win a big district game. In this new district Estil hopes to win it.
