Best ever? I think Doug Jones was the best TE to ever play for Dixie.

Andrew will break Doug Jones Te rec. Record by the end of his senior season.

Congrats to Andrew Hedger on the offer and continued success. Call it a hunch, there may be a group of offers for this young man to choose from this time next year.

Congrats to Andrew! I like his basketball game, too. Nice kid.

Congrats to Andrew, who is a nice player, but Doug Jones was better, JMO. Think Andrew will play tackle at the next level, he just doesn't have that separation speed you need at the next level to play TE. Again congrats for the offers Andrew, and good luck this season!

Congrats to Andrew, and I'm with you, he's a tackle at the next level (ala Tate Nichols). He has the frame to put on more weight. The best TE to come out of Dixie happened to play QB his junior and senior year.

The frame is What got the offer. There are 8 more D1 schools showing high level intrest. Should be a few more offers in the coming weeks and more after the eye ball test in May.

I believe Nick True is also slated for OT at Western KY Univ. Good frames and footwork go a long way.

Does anyone know How many D1 players have ever came out of Dixie??

Not sure how many Dixie historians we have on here.

From my memory I will go with Mark Pike, Chris Derry, Doug Jones, Zeke Pike and I am thinking there was a QB a few years ago as well. Sure there are more from earlier years.

Per Phone call from coach James Hite. Andrew wI'll play Te for Austin P. And has a chance to start.

Did he accept the offer? I like the Austin Peay campus but that football stadium is a wreck. Did they ever get the funds to rebuild it? Surprised to hear that Hite was still there. I'd heard that that staff was on their way out the door.
