How were the fields? I hope they all dry out enough, I'd hate for the baseball or softball seasons be delayed any due to field conditions.

 

Scott's field was soft and played slow. But overall, in pretty good shape for this time of the year. I know they did a lot of raking to turn it over to dry, so that can lead to a softer, sandy feel. But noone cared because we were outside in the in the dirt!! We really appreciated the effort they put in to get the field ready!

I'm going to remember this quote during the regular season should you happen to have the pleasure of his umpiring skills.

Madisonville North scrimmaged Butler Co last night. North had 4 HR in 2 games against 3 by Peyton & 1 by Tow. North's pitching looked good as well pitching Peyton, Gray, Patterson, while Webb didnt pitch due to sore elbow.

 

North's defense & hitting looked good, Butler is down little from last year, but catcher looked nice. North starts it's season next week with Daviess Co on Monday & McCracken on Tuesday.

Windy as "all get out", at ND yesterday for the pre-season affair. Really enjoyed catching-up with my friends from both schools. As far as the game, both teams have things to work on, just like all teams do at this time of the year.

 

That being said, tip of the cap to Notre Dame 1st basemen, Maria Schaffer who went "large" not once, but twice. :ylsuper: Pretty impressive considering the windy was blowing right to left and not out. The 2nd one was "no doubt" on contact....WOW!!!
