Congrats to Sacred Heart!

Welcome to BGP lvlletrak!

Great to see the Valkyries making a visit to Diddle one of 16 teams left. As the old saying goes, "you have to beat the best to be the best". Sacred Heart has their work cut out for them with the way the sweet sixteen draw went down.

Right out the gate they play the winner of the 5th Region. If they get past that test, then most likely take on the 8th region winner. With a little luck I think they can get it done and make it to the final 4. Gotta love this time of year.

Is it true that Sacred Heart's 3 best players all had Butler connections? HMMMMMM

And your point?

how good would butler have been with those 3 "additions"??????

or where would that have left sacred heart?

Looking backwards is like the old saying #1 about "ifs and nuts and Christmas." Butler's chemistry , which was absolutely near-perfect for the last 20 games, would have dramatically be changed; the younger players who stepped up and played fantastically, might have been on the bench passing out towels or cups of water, possibly playing mostly JV, or maybe not even dressing for the state tournament. Who knows? No doubt, the Butler folks are now satisfied with the way things have turned out.

But on the other hand, were they not there, SHA would have needed other players join into their mix, as most of the primetime productive minutes for the past several years would have been played by different kids. Keep in mind old saying #2: "The more things change, the more things stay the same." It will be very, very interesting to see what the future brings to SHA as the graduating players are replaced. While at the state tournament, I was informed that an 8th grader who this year played varsity minutes elsewhere, is headed to Lexington Road next year. Time will surely tell.

It cant be another kid from Butler because they dont let MSers play.......so this is indeed a cliffhanger!!!

Ok Coachforlife I thought you were going down another path with that contemplation. I like Retropop's answer though.

I don't know who is said to be transferring to SHA, but nothing surprises me anymore. I've been told Sacred Heart has a strong freshman class lined up for next year with at least one of them primed to step up and play some meaningful varsity minutes. A couple of them will push the Sophomores and Juniors for PT and make the program better. Practices will be more competitive which usually translates into better teams.

For those interested in the cliffhanger mystery.....word on the street says......

1. Drink plenty of milk for your CALcium

2. CALifornia was the 31st state

3. My favorite food is CALzones

4. My favorite tree is the CALabash

Or possibly we are "up the CREEK" without a paddle????????

NO CALcium leaving, especially with the loss of the coach. I gaurantee it :)... Why leave when you can play and be star and not compete to play?

I heard the same thing. Coachforlife might have the wrong person in mind. I don't think she is from CALcium.
