Actually no. I am neither the principal or superintendent. I'm guessing you must be someone who has a large dislike for either Bach or Augusta. Which is it?

Keyword is team! It's Bach Bach Bach Bach and back.

While I think Montgomery wins this game if they come in with this mindset and do not think Maddox or Snapp can go off for 20+ points along with Bachs 30+. They could be in for a rude awakening. Go ahead and key on Bach and don't worry about the rest of them and see what that does for ya. This is not the same panther team that lost at MoCo by 30. These kids play with a lot of heart, grit, and determination. They don't quit till the final horn. Upsets are a part if the game. Just last week MoCo was almost victim to upset by the scrappy GRC team in the district. ANYTHING is possible at this point. Nothin is money in the bank.

We won't key on Bach. We will key on the others. Like I said before, let Bach get his 30-40 and hold the rest in check, which shouldn't be a task at all. He scores 48 out of 62 against Mason. So the rest scored 14. We will take that. I love Bach. I think he's a great player. I just don't like the homers or the MOCO hater, to be living a pipe dream. It's not going to happen.

Augusta's only chance is to keep the score low & be incredibly patient on offense. Even more so than they were against Mason County in the District.

I don't think an Augusta victory is impossible, but it's a really tall order.

I picked MoCo by 6 in the Tourney preview. After watching the Indians the other night I think they'll win by double digits. But in no way do I believe that all they have to do is show up.

Come on RP, don't be so reasonable. :lol2:

Don't like homers? Now I'm really confused.

Agreed 110%. Nothing's a given this time of year. Neither team had a first half to write home about Friday night. But the second half for both teams were great halves of basketball. I've seen Augusta 4 times this year and that's pretty much how it's been 3 of the 4 times exception was the MaCo game.

If they take the Mason Co game and duplicate it with a little lower score then anything is possible. It cannot be a track meet. Take it to the MoCo bigs and get them in foul trouble. And at the same time stay outta foul trouble.

I think it will be a closer game than most think. If I had to pick on Augusta I would say they play up to the better competition and down to the lesser competition. Explaining why they were in several close games (10pts or less). Bach can't take a quarter off like he did in the Mason game. If memory serves he had 0 pts and only 2 shot attempts in the first quarter of that game.

Don't like homers? Now I'm really confused.

Do you not know what a homer means?

Do you not know what a homer means?

I thought so, but maybe not, please humor me, and explain.

All you Augusta homers that think you have a prayer of winning this game. I'm a MOCO homer that lives and dies by my team but I have enough Bball knowledge to know when my squad has no prayer. Your season was made beating a decent Mason squad with mediocre guards. We have great guards and great bigs and a pretty good bench. No shot. I don't care if we get in foul trouble. I don't care if Bach gets 40. It just ain't going to happen. Pipe dream!

You've conjured up this idea of "all you Augusta homers." Three people voted for Augusta in the poll & except for an indirect response by AHS Panther, no one has commented to say they believe Augusta will beat Montgomery County.

I don't think anyone would disagree that MoCo is a huge favorite, no doubt about it. But I just so happen to think that nothing is impossible. You will just have to excuse my inferior way of thinking.

By the way, I didn't attend Augusta, don't have kids attending there, never worked there, don't have family working there, etc.

Yes, I will be a "homer" of any small school in the role that Augusta is in right now.
