BigVMan23 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Here is a team picture taken right after our championship game Saturday afternoon. Our starting center, Lucas Durr, is missing as he left right at the end of the game to get to baseball practice. From left to right: Blake Trimmble, Sr., Blake Long, Sr., Cody Smith, Jr., Brody Briscoe, Sr., Chase Sutherland, Sr., Sam Laytart, Sr., Austin Hacker, Sr., and Dakota Sallee, Sr. Missing is Sr. Lucas Durr. Dakota was our best player and averaged about 25 points a game this season. He also went over the 1,000 point total for his career at Fox Creek, and though I don't have exact totals at hand, he has scored around 1,400 (possibly more) for us in a little less than 3 full seasons. There are a LOT of high schools he would have been the starting 2 guard on, but chose to play for us. Blake T, Chase, Sam and Lucas also played football for Anderson County, Blake L. golf, and Lucas baseball. Some of you may remember the post I made about one of my player's dad being murdered over the summer, that was Brody's dad, and he seems to be doing pretty good. I actually think winning this championship helped him a lot with that as well as it was something he wanted so badly. And, of course, I'm the good looking guy in the back. I don't usually go as long as I did here between shaves, and I almost had a beard to go with the goatee I usually wear. But, we had won several games in a row while I had not shaved, and it got to a point I was kind of afraid to. I almost shaved Friday night and stopped myself, thinking if I did and we wound up losing...well lets just say it worked out for the best, and I was able to shave Saturday night with a big ol' smile on my face.:thumb:
BigVMan23 Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Am I missing the picture? There now, had to resize it, was too big originally and wouldn't post.
gchs_uk9 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Blake T, Chase, Sam and Lucas also played football for Anderson County, Blake L. golf, and Lucas baseball. I didn't know kids could do that. Congratulations on the season!
BigVMan23 Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 I didn't know kids could do that. Congratulations on the season! We are a Christian outreach program through Fox Creek Christian church in Anderson County, not a school. If we were actually a school, even a non-KHSAA Christian school, you would be correct. All these kids attend Anderson County high school.
CincySportsFan Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Wow, Dakota averaged 25 a game? Imagine how many he might have had, had you allowed him to wear shoes? :lol2: Kidding aside, congratulations!

I was under the impression you guys participated in the Kentucky Christian Athletic Association. Thanks for clearing that up and again, congratulations!
Lawnboy13 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 #15 looks like a football player. Good job, now you can take some well deserved time off.
