No stats, the internet feed was going in and out, I was lucky to get the final score.

Austin Crawford had 30 for Bracken.

Several Breds in double figures. I think Jenkins had 18 & Zack Pulliam 17, but I'm not at all certain on that.

Game was never in doubt. Harrison out played and out hustled my polar bears tonight. Crawford got his 30 and the rest of the team was shut down.

The Pulliam kid for Harrison is a nice player. The breds have a lot of length that gave Bracken fits all night.

First game I've ever been too and seen a dunk attempt blocked! Nice play although it did not factor in the outcome.

I know there are mixed emotions on the subject but this game only reenforces my belief that the KHSAA should classify high school basketball. These teams should not be playing each other. Harrison is a team that should be fighting it out with the Mason Co., Campbell Co., etc. Not the Bracken's Augusta's Robertsons, and Nicholos Co of the state. Their almost a lock every yr to win their district. Not very competeive playing field IMHO.

Why do these two have to play each other if they are not in the same district?

They don't have to. They choose to.

They don't have to I don't guess. They are in different districts.

That's what I thought, polar bear said they should not be playing each other. Schools could just not schedule if they felt the same.

Yeah it was a schedule game. My only guess is so it would give our kids some experience playing a bigger stonger team because come tournament time that's what you are up against if you want to win your district and/or region. 38th it's Harrison with three small schools and in the 39th it's Mason with 3 (All A) schools.. Yeah I know once in a blue moon the upsets happen. And a blind squirrel with find a nut every now and the too. What I'm tryin to say that in the overall fairness to competition levels. There are as many smaller schools in the tenth region as bigger schools. I'm sure it's the same all over the state. It's great if your the big school. But if your the small school it can be demoralizing year in and year out knowing your never gonna be a state champ because your behind the 8 ball from the start. This ain't the 30's 40's or 50's anymore people. A change is needed.

Both teams were in 4A in football until last year. Pendleton isn't a small school.

I don't think people have ever realized how big PC's enrollment is ever, I believe they were or are bigger than Mason County even. They have always been at least double the enrollment of Bracken and Robertson.

I would have never thought that PC was that big of a school. I assume this just a down year for them? Didn't they make a run at state few years back (2005 or 2006)? I guess i was under the perception they were just a little too big to be an All A school. What i get for thinking..:idunno:

I think Mason recently passed Pendleton in enrollment; just a few years ago Pendleton was bigger. I'll try to find the most recent figures.

Here are the number of boys, followed by total students enrolled in each of the 10th Region schools in 2013-2014 per the most recent KHSAA report:

Silver Grove 32 59

Augusta 60 104

Calvary Christian 46 107

Robertson County 50 107

Paris 118 206

Nicholas County 170 326

Bishop Brossart 170 332

Bracken County 177 348

Pendleton County 399 749

Mason County 429 833

Bourbon County 453 866

Harrison County 477 903
