Trinity 58 Collins 52

Featured Replies

Final.

Got a couple reports during the game. Collins apparently has some nice shooters on this team.

Beat Eastern last week and goes shot-for-shot with Trinity this week.

Curious as to how Collins stacks up in the 8th.

Collins is the cream of the 8th.

They are. The backcourt is great. Kidwell does a really good job of holding the team together

Did Spalding play tonight? Either way, sounds like a big effort from Collins at Trinity.

.....also when you barely hit 50% from the line (T was 15-27).

I believe that's what they call an outlier!

When 58% of your points come from behind the arc, that's not reliable scoring.

Collins has shot the ball well all year. Don't have a lot of size, so the game has to be perimeter based. Look at some other box scores before you accuse a team of staying in it by getting lucky from the outside.

That may be well and true, but it still leaves you vulnerable on a night when the shots just aren't falling.

I don't think anyone has necessarily said they were lucky, but I do consider a perimeter-heavy game plan an unreliable one that sooner or later, tends to abandon you in a time of need.

On the positive side, looks like Collins straight locks down on the defensive side, so that helps.

That has helped them win a lot of games this year. They lost quite a bit of scoring from last year's team, but they play very tough defense to make up for it.

They are capable of scoring inside, but that can be tough to do against a team like Trinity.

A fun game to watch. Collins shot lights out, many times while well defended. They played very good defense and never gave up even when they got down 10 late in the 4th. They played a very solid game.

Trinity HAS to get better from the line. It cost them the game against Ballard in the LIT and will cost them again. Collins' continued hard play and Trinity's own mediocrity from the line kept last night's game in doubt until the final buzzer.
