Eli Manning, Giants named in bogus memorabilia suit

Regardless of the validity of the claims the Giants will come out looking bad because of the accusations. That's all some people, including the OP of this thread, need to make judgements.

Hahaha, sorry dad, but I didn't write the story so don't shoot the messenger.

The article wasn't what I was talking about.

It was your "losers" comment. Seems you have made your mind up already based on the article.

If True, WHY? Why would Eli do such a thing, are the Giants not paying him enough?

^why I'm not buying the story. The source of the bad goods will end up being some greedy equipment mgr.

Read in another link that Eli did this so he could keep his own equipment and not have to sell the real stuff.

Doesn't make sense, just keep your stuff. He doesn't have to sell squat. Not like he needed the money.

This is one reason I don't really believe this story. Doesn't make sense for the Giants as an organization to run a scheme like this. Also doesn't make sense for Eli to run a scheme like this.

What is interesting and gives this story legs is the fact that the Hall of Fame had a plaque in front of Eli's helmet that stated it was worn in the Super Bowl, that plaque has been removed.

Interesting.

Doesn't mean Eli or the Giants said it was worn in the Super Bowl.

???? That is why it was there.

Quit already lol

now you're just sounding sad lol

Why do you think it was there?

Look I'm not going to argue with you anymore. It very well may be true that the Giants and Eli did this. It just doesn't make sense.

However I can clearly see through your post history that you don't need evidence of any kind to make a judgement. One accusation seems to be enough for you. Maybe I'm misremembering some previous threads you have been involved in.

I choose to wait and see how this plays out. The Giants and Eli have released statements denying the allegations and saying they will fight them. So we will see what both sides have hopefully.

The guy making the claims is a Dealer. He was accused of selling fake Giants merchandise. The federal government pulled back on the charges when he produced evidence against the Giants.

I have hard time believing Eli was involved , I think there is a bad egg in mangement that is going to lose his job and do jail time.

Actually I believe it is you who jump to conclusions.

I never said this was fact. Read my posts please instead of jumping to conclusions.

What I did say is it was interesting the Hall of Fame did what they did which gives this story legs.

Now for those who are saying Eli wouldn't do this because he doesn't need the money, who said anything about it being for money? They don't get a dime for items that goes to the Hall of Fame.

Who is to say they simply like to keep those items for themselves for their own collection etc.

I love memorabilia, but I'm not into collecting for the money. If I was a player and won a SB etc. or had a game where I set records or did something spectacular in the game, I would actually want to keep my jersey and helmet etc myself. So who is to say that isn't what happened? Why and who said it had anything to do with money?

Maybe he was approached by someone representing a charity etc. and asked for the game jersey etc. and he said he'd do it but wanted to keep that jersey for himself or promised it to someone else already, who is to say he wouldn't give another jersey or the equipment manager who is in charge of the cleaning etc. of uniforms, by the way who was already named in this story, told him he'd get another jersey to give them etc.

I mean HB, you have become very defensive and why? Does Eli owe you anything? Why are you so certain he didn't do it? And if he did, so what?
