Extremely freaky.

Demonic possession is for real, it is a big reason I have such a profound belief in God and Christ. I've read and watched numerous stories like this one and it's no surprise that Christ is the only tool to overcome such a thing. Like garlic for vampires. So if possession is real and Christ and The Bible is the only thing to drive it out, there you have your evidence of a true struggle of good vs. evil.

I really don't know what to say.

 

As a man of faith I'm bound to accept that certain things beyond our normal understanding do truly exist... but I've kept a pretty skeptical attitude about these things for a long time.

 

I'm a little alarmed by the local diocese's willingness to let an untrained parish priest perform the investigations and the rituals though. There aren't a whole lot of experts on this anywhere in the Church these days... and for good reason. You'd think they'd bring in a group of people to look through this in the same manner they investigate places and people who say they've seen an apparition of the Virgin Mary.

Not sure how much of it I buy, but definitely creepy as hell.

It's hard to believe a lot of the paranormal stuff, I was a skeptic myself until I had my own experiences. However, from around 2000-2012 the house I grew up in was haunted by a ghost. I had a lot of stuff happen to me that I always dismissed and rationalized as something else. BUT, things happened so much I eventually had to acknowledge something was wrong, especially after a couple of others (my mother and step father) said they had experienced strange occurrences and saw the apparition of a woman numerous times. At the climax of activity my step father said he was seeing her multiple times a day, usually peeking out of a joined hallway into the sitting area they would watch TV. He said it would poke it's head out and look at them, sometimes it would go down the hall away from them and up the hall towards them and disappear. My mother said she saw her coming out of a wall once, half of it still in the wall.

 

As for me I would see a dark figure move in the adjoining room at night, even though it was dark you could still see something move in the dark. At least a dozen or more times I would feel a warm or cool breeze on my feet while I was laying in bed, like someone isolated a fan just to those areas. Had a lot of other stuff happen but the craziest was a weekend I was home by myself and had a Bible come off my shelf. I tried to re do the scenario a hundred times and the way it fell (distance, force, etc.) could not be explained by other means.

 

 

So once you experience stuff like that first hand it really opens your eyes to a lot of things most people find impossible. These events and others are a big reason why I have such an open minded attitude, now my assumption is anythings possible!!!

Also to add to that the occurrences really started to have an impact on my psyche. I never became "possessed", but after a year or two of reflection since I feel that I became oppressed by the spirit. I could feel and sense its energy, there was one particular room I never felt comfortable in, like the feeling of something was going to get you if you stayed in there. Also before I realized it was paranormal I would sometimes search every inch of the house because it felt like an intruder had snuck in while no one was there. Obviously I never found anything but I would always have that feeling I wasn't alone in the house.

 

After a while my personality started to change and everything. I have always been very happy go lucky and in a good friendly mood. However, over time I became super depressed and irritable as well as constantly feeling sad and defeated. Sometimes I would have horrible dreams where I would start out with a beautiful lady but then it would turn into a frightening creature. One night I had a dream like this and the lady was horizontal over top of me, like floating parallel over me. Then in a flash it turned into this horrifying creature and it opened its mouth and let out a huge roar right in my face (and I'm talking an īnch or two away from my face). I woke up so scared, I was trembling, soaked in sweat, and trying to catch my breathe. It was the realest, scariest nightmare I've ever had and when I woke up I felt an actual physical presence on top of me but it dissipated once I raised up. After having some time to reflect I think the spirit would wait until I was asleep and come in my room, I think thr nightmares were related to it.

 

With that said it all ties back to possession. Although I wasn't possessed, the spirit wore me down and had a negative effect on me over time. I only started to feel better and like my old self after the spirit was evicted. Also by getting back into church and reconnecting strongly with my faith. Now I feel like a million bucks, but there was a year or two there where I wasn't myself and possibly oppressed by the spirit energy (it was using my energy basically). Only after I've had a year or two to reflect on the situation have I came to this conclusion. So IMO spirit or demonic possession is a very real thing and very harmful. I know it's tough for most to believe but believe me there's stuff out there you want no part of, trust me.....

I worked at Cincinnati Music Hall for a couple of summers. Haunted as hell. Two years ago a spirit passed between three guys back stage. 2 died within 3 mos of it passing by them. One of them was extremely fit and healthy. Something is beyond this world's explanation.

Yeah negative spirit energies can really wreak havoc on people. I've read numerous cases where people's health has deteriorated due to spirit contact. I honestly feel like a spirit was slowly sucking the life out of me, so glad that its gone....

 

 

Also seems like a lot of these music halls and old school theaters are super haunted. I wonder why? There are at least a dozen venues like this I know of off the top of my head that are supercharged with the paranormal. From San Fran, to Chicago, to Texas, lots of hauntings at those type venues.

Lots of emotion and passion there. Cincy's has a history with being built on the site of an old mental hospital if I remember correctly.

Also not to get away from the thread, but since it doesn't seem to be getting as much action as I anticipated, has anyone ever been to Waverly Hills? Waverly Hills and Bobby Mackey's Music world are two of the most haunted places on earth and right here in our own backyard. Anyone ever been?

 

EKY also has some haunted and strange places, lots of freaky stuff here in the Appalachians, some credit it to native curses left on the land.

The original Exorcists is still the only movie that ever scared me and it's because being based in a true story.

I am not at all certain what to make of ghosts.

 

I am very certain about the existence of demons.

 

Part of me thinks they are one & the same.

Did you all see the ghost or demon in the window? Freaky and the cops and child services witnessed the kids walking up the wall and oil coming from the blinds where there was no source. They al believe.

I've had family go there but I have never had any desire to go there. No way do I go. They all go ghost hump ting and have some very scary stories. Why do they do that, they are ignorant.
