Surely We All Agree This Is Over the Top, Right?

Your rhetoric is old and tired. Christians aren't persecuted in this country any more then the white man. EVERYONE should have the right to send their child to public school without having ANY religion shoved in their face.

Agreed. I'm not for the extreme of eliminating all mention of religion from schools, but this obviously on the other extreme and should not be tolerated. Religion in a public setting should be about choice.

Christians arent persecuted in America, your right, I agree. But they sure do get discriminated against. First its public school, now its the military. pretty soon it will be everything. And you know who is to blame. Christians. We let this happen by standing by and thinking someone else will do something about it and it never happened. Now it is too late to stop the course of action that hasa taken place. Atheist have more rights in religion than does a religious person.

Maybe you can go sit in the lap of the statue of Satan and be thankful there are other religions allowed. Just envison yourself there being so happy.Statue of Satan proposed for Oklahoma state capitol | TuscaloosaNews.com

At least I am consistent with my belief, whether you agree or like it. I wont change or back down from what I believe. Do I think religion should be shoved down a kids throat, NO. Do I think a teacher should stop a 1st grader from telling how their family celebrates Christmas because it mentions Jesus. HECK NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But it did happen, why because it is Christianity. Bet it would have been different if the kid said Hindu god or Buddah. The teacher would have let them go on so all could learn more about this religion. But mention Jesus and its a crime.

My guess is we'll never know.

So just so we're all clear, Mtn Ref doesn't think the school did anything wrong.

And your opinion would be different if a school were to pass out copies of the Koran, or had statues if Buddha siting around everywhere. You say Christians are discriminated against so please list all the things other religions are allowed to do in schools that Christians aren't?

It's illegal for Christians to pray in public school, according to the U.S. Supreme Court. But in Michigan, Muslims are being given special prayer privileges by school administrators

It's not illegal to pray in schools.

Schools can provide a room if it doesn't cause a disturbance . Why couldn't a school take an available room and have it for ANY student who want to go in and pray or meditate? Solves the issue. My guess is no one at this school in Michigan, besides a Muslim, has asked.

For me and my kids, YES.

For others who arent Chrsitians, NO

Then you agree that the school should be prevented from doing this?

Not at all.

I'm all for what they do, after all I'm a Christian and would like for others to have a chance to know God. Especially in this world we live in today.

I mean does everyone expect a Christian to say no and stop doing this.

I'm waiting on all you all to go sit in Satans lap and let your kids hug him when they build the statue on the Courthouse property so you all can show your tolerance.

Then you obviously would be ok if Muslims and Jews and other religions would put up their artifacts and press their beliefs upon your kids in a public school. All they want is for your kids to know God also.

We'll of course not. I guess I would have to move out of district.
