Now, there are so many weather threads in this forum, I have to avoid this forum. IMO, I sure would hate to be surprised by tornado, severe storm or other severe weather event. Just look at the southern U.S. right now. They weren't prepared or didn't head the warnings. January 30, 201412 yr These threads, along with the TV weather, weather blogs, et al, are much appreciated by me. I want to know what to prepare for. I typically have to monitor up to 3 different areas because of the drastic differences between here and work. It can be fine here, bad in the middle of my commute, and downright treacherous near the resort. Shuffle that all around on any given system. I need to know whether to attempt to do to work whether I'll need to shovel and/or threat my steps and walkway before I go to work, or when I get home. I need to know whether, at the info of a day I need to take everything I need to work from home. Or do I pack a bag and the dog and plan to spend the night at work? For some of us, it's much bigger than bread and milk.

Just got an email that the Mid-Bay Bridge is closed, HWY 10 is closed and kids spending the night at school.

January 30, 201412 yr Unless there is a new feature I'm unaware of, you don't have to open any thread you don't want to read. Therefore, if you don't want to hear about the weather, probably shouldn't open the weather thread... There are people who do want to hear this information. Just sayin'....
