Definately, "Tubby Theory" wouldnt be a bad ideal. Owls look this unfocused and shoot this bad come tounament time and it could look a lot worse than this down in Beatyville.

Hopefully the Owls will have a better showing than this againest the much improved Breathitt come Thursday.

I agree. Lee County has a better team than Letcher Central. If the Owls play like this in Beattyville for the district it will get ugly and in a hurry. When you have a combination of not being able to make shots, plus too many turnovers, plus poor rebounding, plus poor defense, it = 50 point blowouts. Hopefully they'll have a more competitive game in the district. THey CAN DO IT, they've already proven that with wins over Powell, June Buchanan, Wolfe on the road, and South Floyd at Morgan County's tournament. Plus, they gave Hazard a scare in Booneville, leading for most of the game before falling in the last 2 minutes by 8. Those type games are the kind they will need to exhibit from here on out.

He threw one down on a fast break with two hands off two feet but nothing special. He seemed to slightly loose control of the ball while in flight.

That's what I'd like to know.

 

LCC lost at KCC a few weeks ago, and Owsley lost to KCC in OT last week. I figured this game would be an L for the Owls, maybe by 10 points. But not 47 points. :confused:

 

I missed the game, but LCC by 10 was my guess to. A buddy of mine was there, and he said that it hurt to watch. They just let it get away from them and then just couldn't pull themselves together enough to make a showing. He said they must have felt like the people on the Titanic. They knew they were going down and were fighting desperately, but they just kept sinking.

They did that at Estill County earlier in the year. Got down 17-1 right off the bat, and never could get back in it no matter how hard they tried. Finally lost by 38. If the Owls can keep it close in the first quarter they usually stay in the game, but if a team goes on a big early run on them it's almost like they go into panic mode.....and the harder they try, the worse it gets.

It depends on which team shows up for Letcher. If its the team that played against KCC then I would definitely say Lee is better but if the team that played Owsley or the team that played Lee earlier in the season then I would say Letcher. Letcher is physical inside and their defense has greatly improved from earlier in the year but Lee is a better shooting team I'm sure - would be a great game IMO.

Letcher does have a good team and seems to be peaking at the right time. They are well coached and will be hard to handle in the region...

I don't really understand why that Wright kid from LCC isn't getting more attention. How many double doubles has he had this year??

I don't understand it either. This kid has scored over 1,000 points and has been a top five rebounder in the state all year. When they feed him in the post he is very hard to handle and it appears tey have been going to him more in the past couple of games.
