Congrats. Brenan says he chose a DII school over a DI school because he would rather play in a championship game than a bowl game.

 

I hate when a kid feels like he has to say something like this. He earned a full scholarship to a strong program. However, because some blowhards blew him up to a D1 QB with interest from UC, UL, et al only to see them not come through with an offer the kid somehow feels like he has to rationalize it.

 

Kid had a great career and got a great scholarship.

 

Who's the next SK kid that's going to be put in this position by blowhards?

Your so clueless! First off Brenan went to UC spring practices, Toledo and Bowling Green and was invited to a WKU game. Petrino recruited watch him play in a down pour. Jeff Brohm watched him play basketball against Holy Cross. Get your facts right thanks for ruining this thread.

You are right on one thing. While my facts are indeed "straight" I should have mentioned it in a separate thread.

 

I'm a fan of the kid and shouldn't let my belief that you're bad for SK football filter into this thread.

UK, to be fair he is just trying not to get the expectations so high up there for these kids. The way you promoted BK and other SK players wasn't fair to them. You had them going to big time D1 schools on free rides etc. over the past 2 years. Every player that is seen or is invited for visits isn't offered full rides or offered anything at all. I know this first hand. There were 3 players I k ow personally who went to some very nice D1 schools over the last 2 years and invited to some others. That doesn't mean they get the offers etc.

 

Clyde is just trying to protect these boys from over expectations put on them. We love your enthusiasm, but you have to remember there are a lot of boys in this area playing ball and not everyone of SK's players are D1 bound. Let the kids enjoy their time playing in HS without the added pressure put on them by grown ups trying to live through them. That's all that is being asked.
