Drew Moore - Dixie - Hudl

Featured Replies

I love this kid. Next to BW's young QB I think Drew has the most upside if he can work on his mechanics this off season.

Great size and he can run too. He runs like D Barker but not as strong as DB who always had that deadly stiff arm.

Moore has a pretty nice arm too but I thought at times this past season tended to hurry throws which led to bad mechanics and no velocity which ended up being knocked down or int'd. I really think if he can get his footwork down he can really put some zip on his throws and can have a monster year his senior season.

Wish him the best!!!!

Drew Barker runs tougher but Moore glides really well in the open field.

He's a dynamic game-changer in NKY.

I think his throwing will be his biggest challenge when it comes to what level of college he can play.

I agree. He showed such great signs his sophomore year and I thought he actually looked better throwing that year also. That is why I really hope he attends some camps this off season and gets his footwork down because the sky is the limit if he gets the right help.

Id love to see him get a shot at a high level of college ball.

More of a runner than a thrower.. He looks like a wr to me if he wants to play college ball..

It'd be nice to see him work with some receivers that could create some separation down the field. He had one his sophomore year. This past season, Dixie's passing game was limited to short throws to the backs and TEs. They had no down field threats.

I have heard Moore is being recruited as a receiver by some D1 schools.

I think I once took some arrows by a few people for suggesting that.

UC and WKU have been showing interest.

Dixie, as well as, their 2014 opponents are looking forward to Drews off-season work, growth and development. He's got a lot of upside and yes, is capable of playing at a higher level than most. I'd anticipate improvements in footwork, vision, decision making, and arm strength. The Dixie Colonels have no shortage of incentive to prove 2013 wasn't a fluke. Considering what the Colonels accomplished under the circumstances they did, 2014 looks bright and the work has begun in the weight room with great response!

What declares showing interest? I've been a lurker for a while so I know how some of your posts go. A lot of teams send out brochures and what not but never actually go further than that. I wouldn't call that interest.

Side note though... I have known Drew since he was a little guy. Decent friend with his Uncle Corey. Glad to see Drew succeeding and hopefully he can get to and succeed at the next level.
