I believe that Ashland had a young team last season. With Ashland returning Baker along with several others, the addition of the McPeek kid transferring from that school in Westwood in addition to being the 2nd season under Coach Love / a new system the Tomcats should be very good.

Here is a wrinkle for Ashland they also have Jake Long in the backfield why not put in a package where they direct snap to Baker and run read option with Long? Could be hard to defend.

The Tomcats can be very good in 2014. You would hope to see Quinton Baker improve even more, the additions of Jake Long and McPeek should certainly help. A question mark will be the receiving corps, Ashland certainly hopes to see QB Hunter Prince be more consistent.

Cody McPeek's dad has accepted an offer to coach in Georgia, so I'm pretty sure he will go with his dad.

Just so you know, I agree about Cody. He is a great kid. I hated that he was caught up in all the mess.

Backspin, I was told by a close family friend with the McPeek's that Cody is probably staying at Ashland next year even though his dad is accepting the OC job in Georgia. Sorry for my erroneous assumption with my earlier post.

I already knew his current plans were to stay with a family member and not just him, but his sister as well. Will this plan hold up until August, who knows? All I know is that I never had the opportunity before to know Cody and circumstances have given me that chance. As a result, I am a fan of Cody MePeek the person, not the football player.

I believe McPeak has transfered to Russell.
