Just got word that the 3 Cordia guys have been ruled INELIGIBLE.....Also going around that Hines may have transferred back to Mississippi...can't confirm Hines back to Mississippi but can say that the 3 Cordia players that have been waiting on eligibility have been ruled Ineligible

This changes the landscape of all the Cordia talk about winning the 14th.....Until they are beaten..Knott is the reigning King of the 14th Region..

I heard the same thing. But it was a judge'a ruling, which means there will probably not be an injunction at any time. The KHSAA will make their ruling in 2 weeks, or that's the way it was told to me.

If they get an injunction from Frankfort, by the time it gets here it will be right around the start of the district tournaments.

I'm curious to hear if Hines actually moved back to Mississippi

I heard the same thing you guys are hearing so it most be true. On Hines, with ruling it would be better for him to transfer now.IMO. It's all bout the kids anyways or suppose to be and the best move for the kid is to transfer so he can play now. I would have liked for the kids to have gotten ruled eligible would make the 14th that much better and with Hines Cordia would have a legit shot at the All "A" championship.

To be fair, when I say it, it's more in the sense of saying "x beat y this summer" doesn't have a lot of value because you don't know if football players (or others) were there, how many games a team had played in a row that same day, etc.

Yeah, I'm there. I know who is and isn't there, at least in the 13th and 14th regions. The football players are usually there in June, unless they are just looking for an excuse not to play basketball. It's only three weeks.

I honestly thought they were. I didn't expect them to be where they are. I figured Breathitt would be down with everyone that they lost last year and returning Noble, which I believe was the only starter they returned.
Breathitt Co. is clear 4th and maybe higher.....they return 3 starters from last year....do your homework!

Breathitt may be a clear 5 but not 4. They would struggle with Knott, Perry, Cordia , and Hazard. I mean, they lost by 20+ to Buckhorn. The Bobcats do have a nice team and Noble is one of the better players in the region. I just don't see them as a top 4. They'll have their work cut out for them getting past Wolfe this week.

Thought they lost 4 of their 5 starters....Trent & Hamilton (Graduated)....Noble (returned) who's the other two starters that returned? Campbell? Strong?

I have to disagree with Breathitt being a top 4 team....Knott, Perry, Hazard and Cordia have something to say about that...I'd say Breathitt is 5th...Wolfe 6th..

Should be a dandy of a game tomorrow between Wolfe and Breathitt

This is true however don't think he is in Mississippi.......

These are kids attempting to better themselves and situations....... I don't know how some sleep at night when basketball is so important that adult desire to see kids not play so they can win a GAME and pray against kids trying to obtain the best opportunities of scholarships..... Sad Sad Sad.......... Only in Kentucky.

Heard from couple different people now that he went back to Mississippi last weekend...not sure if it's exactly true or not but that's what I was told....Maybe Wireman can give us some insight on this...

He was in Lexington at the tournament......... HE is not in Mississippi and will be playing ball...google him next week...... KY the state of Basketball..... Really.... Let the kids play... and leave it to the coaches to teach the kids to WIN.... (that's to much like right) to much time spent trying to say why kid shouldn't play.....

I hope those kids at Cordia band together and refuse to lose...... THEN WHAT??????

If he's here and gets to play then good it's just gonna make the 14th that much more interesting.

I have never wanted them not to be eligible to play for Cordia this year. I hope for the best for these young men. I love to watch good basketball. If they are eligible they should be playing.

Crossover, you seem to be familiar with the Cordia team and players. What is the holdup with the 3 players not being ruled eligible? I've never heard a clear answer for that question from anyone, only guesses and assumptions. Transfers all over the state seem to just glide through the eligibility process with few problems, but Cordia has had all kinds of road blocks. Why is that?
