Didn't watch the game as I was consumed with football but the bolded sounds worrisome. Manuel do a great job defending him, complete off day, or injury? (Question is for anyone who may have seen the game, not necessarily you RP as I don't know if you saw it.)

Dixie picked a heck of a time to share a team bug. Isbel had it first and didnt even dress for the game. Hatton lost his cookies in the second qtr and Rabe had to leave early 3rd to hug the garbage can next to the bench. More kids were sick, but gutting it out.

If Dixie were playing the later game I don't think they would have been able to put 5 healthy kids on the floor.

In spite of all of this Dixie played very well. Actually played well the whole tournament.

I did notice Isbel head to the locker room during Saturday's game so I'm assuming he had the beginning of the bug then and hanging out with the team Sat night surely passed it around.

It sucks that they were not fully healthy for this game as I would've liked to see how they would've done against Scott Co.

All in all though I feel the team did really well during the tournament and opened the eyes of a lot of people. Completely different team than the one that showed up on the hill a few weeks ago.

BTW I just looked at the tournament bracket and it shows Dixie playing PRP today at 3:00. Is that game happening? I thought it was a 2 and out? My understanding is that the Dixie kids are all home.

Dixie is home trying to get healthy for Friday night.

That's what I figured was the case. Just was really thrown off since I thought it was a two and out tourney.

I just text a player and got a reply saying they thought they were done too after the loss to Manual but apparently not. Since Hatton, Rabe, and Isbel are sick and Niehaus is injured, Chev told them they wouldn't be playing the game today.

However, while he was in there he played one heck of a game, the group I was sitting with was very impressed. He was knocking down shots and had quite a few pretty "dimes". Plays bigger than his size.

I was wondering what happened when I saw PRP won by a forfeit today. I don't blame Dixie one bit. They had a good weekend and not playing today won't hurt them. I hope they get some rest and get healthy by week's end.

Dixie Heights really opened a lot of eyes with their play throughout this tournament. May not look like it on paper, but this probably their guttiest performance of them all.
