Scoring by qtrs:

Holmes- 10..25..9..23...67

Dixie- 8...19..20...12...59

Bolden had 17 2nd qtr pts and 10 straight in the 4th to put Holmes from down 1 to up 9.

Bolden, Mcclendon, and Chames sat entire 1st qtr.

Holmes started Brolley, Housely, Glover, Revels, and Hill.

Bolden came out hot from three land while Hatton didn't look good from deep.

Overall though I liked what I saw from Dixie. A few foolish turnovers but that will happen against a team as good as Holmes.

Dixie isn't the same team that lost to Newcath by 30. They have improved a lot defensively and rebounded the ball well.

Hatton also looks much better, attacking the rim and finishing through contact.

Dixie is improving while playing a tough schedule early. They will probably face Male again next Friday in Lexington. They should be battle tested and ready to go by February. Dixie coach had a much tighter subbing pattern tonight.

I got to see Holmes' coach Booher speak today... very powerful and touching story. His testimony had the attention of all in attendance. Had to fight back tears several times. He is a good man doing good work.

From the few interactions I've had with Coach Booher, I like him.

Walter, I read some complaints about the officials. You've got video. Put up the plays where you/others thought they made bad calls.

I honestly can't think of any plays that stood out but did think the officials called it tight...one play Bolden made a 3, got hit in the face by Moore, and no call.

Hatton playing 31 aggressive minutes in this game, should tell you he is close to being back in shape. He often brought the ball up against pressure so he didn't have a lot of resting minutes.

Bolden played two spectacular quarters and one very quiet 3rd quarter. The 1st quarter was spent on the bench.

Sidenote: The floor was quite slick. Many slips and falls throughout the game. Pretty dangerous.

What was your view on the intentional foul?

Any idea what the cause was?

My guess was simply the weather. Quick rise in temp and cold floor is a usual culprit. I saw almost no slips in the Male vs Southern game that played prior to the Holmes Dixie game.

Always happens when you get an unusually warm winter night. NCC gets it the worst.

That was my thought. Just seemed odd because the outside doors are a little bit away.
