There were a lot better defensvie players that didn't get recognized too but we all knew Elam would be in the list.

 

Really? Who? In the 3 years I have watched Matt Elam play I have seen him double and tripled teamed 90% of the time. I haven't seen anyone be able to block him one on one consistently either. He single handedly made JH's defense very good the last three years based on his presence alone. A lot of good JH players made all star teams because teams had to put 2-3 guys on Elam so that left everyone else with being blocked by one person. Did he have a "bad" game this year, sure. His stamina is not up to par but I doubt very many lineman could handle him one on one.

UK will get his stamina issue fixed. He's about 6'5 in barefeet with a 6'8 wingspan.

You did see I said defensemen, not linemen right? I didn't know this award was for d-linemen only. BTW, so you don't get your panties in abunch because believe it or nott other players may have played beter his year, he wasnt the only lneman to be doble teamed.....its not a new concept.
