Royals jumped out early & led by as many as 13 in the 1st quarter. Scott cuts into the lead & Mason takes a 5-point advantage to the locker room.

 

Mason County comes back out & extends its lead to 11 in the 3rd quarter, but the Eagles again battle back & take their first lead with 1:42 left in the game. Trailing by 2 points with 3 seconds left, Royals sophomore Antwavon Williams steps to the FT line for his first attempts of the year & hits them both, sending the game into Overtime. Shawn Johnson with a pair of and ones in the extra session. Scott was trailing by 3 in the closing seconds & had a chance to tie, but turned the ball over. Mason hit a couple of free throws & a late basket to reach the final score of 84-77.

Just saw your question On update thread RP, in that situation Scott has many options. First and foremost you want Blake Schneider to take the shot but at the time he was disqualified. I think next you consider Andrew Trame, Jake Ohmer, and Jeremy Jackson. Scott has lots of good shooters. There were many options to choose from. It was just unlucky that Ohmer stepped on the line when he shot it.

1230, I would love to have run into you. I watched the second half of the JV game, then got real sick and couldn't stay for the varsity game.

There seemed to be confusion at the scorers table when Blake Schneider fouled out. Was there confusion on whether or not someone was in the scorebook, or was it about the number of fouls he had. Can anyone fill us in on it?
