In Kentucky High School Football History?

What is the significance if of 1993 as well?

I'm guessing that was the last time neither Trinity or Highlands won a title.

I'm betting X pushes it back to 1993. St. X won in 1997.

Good call.

It was the year I froze my tail off at Old Cardinal Stadium only to see Trinity lose 3-0.

You win. At least one of either Highlands or Trinity had taken state every year up until this one since 1997. Throw in St. Xavier and it was since 1993.

Some more fun variations would be seeing how far back it goes with Covington Catholic or maybe another school that was a big time power in a different era.

or add a Mayfield, Bw or Danville

Beechwood won it in 93 and 97 so it has nothing to do with them.
