Bad business. This isn't even about me having fun mocking Kobe. He will not be a top 10 player in the league the next 3 years. You do not pay someone based on their career you pay them on the production you expect now. You make him the highest paid player when it wasn't need.

It's all about market value. Year to year it's a cut. But it's not like he volunteered it, no one was going to pay him at that level because he isn't worth it.

You are acting like he did something honorable and had a choice to make 30 million again. He didn't take a hometown discount. He was offered a new contract at a lower price and no one was going to pay him more.

A bad team may of paid the same for ticket sales. No team with a shot of a title would of paid more than 12-15.
