Sounds very familiar to recent years, but a guy named James Quick was the one the Tigers were worried about stopping. No offense to Keion, but James was much more talented than him. St. X did a great job of stopping him the second time around all 3 years, but couldn't shut down all of Trinity's weapons.

 

This experience for Coach Walsh, will help him put together a game plan to help defeat Male. I hope they get some guidance from former defensive back coach Bart Bruner who stepped down with Coach Glaser this offseason out of loyalty to him. He was the key to those great defensive plans in the playoffs and getting the right players matched up on big stars such as Quick.

 

Can't wait for this sure to be instant classic on Friday night! I'm going to take the Tigers in a very very close one! 24-21 Tigers!!

 

Breaking his ribs is a pretty good way to stop him. The second time around the two years prior to that the Rocks put 30 plus up on the Tigers. If they slowed him down it didn't help much.

Xavier, was stating that while X could slow down one of T star offensive players there was more than one star player. Also, injuries happen in games and if that slows down a team then that is just the way it goes.

Is Walker going to play defense too?

 

I would say no. With Walker being injured during the season I would be willing to bet that the staff is just focused on him playing offense and returning kicks.

I just feel that 21 points will not win this game.

I see a very close game. X might be up 7 at the half, go on to lead by 14 in third quarter. Male will have an effective come back, but it wont be enough. Tigers 31 - 26. I'm ready for this one. Should be a great game. The best team will win this game, regardless of who you choose to cheer for. . . .

Like most big/important games, look for turnovers and special teams to be a big factor. X's special teams have improved, but X seems to have at least one turnover a game. Must take care of the ball on offense and be opportunistic on defense.
