"Watered Down" Playoff Upsets?

For those that support the current playoff situation please explain to me what good will possibly come from Boone County and their 0-10 record making a 4+ hour bus trip to likely get their heads caved in?
no. But that is one team that has to fill in for a district with too few teams. That has nothing to do with Boone being 0-10 it has everything to do with the districts being screwed up that allows a 5 team district to send all 5 teams.

That Tates Creek / Dunbar game could be the best #1 vs #4 matchup in the playoffs.

Bell co finished 2nd in their district, so E'town has to travel to Bell, but your point is still the same, and valid. Bell will likely have to travel to Central in week 2 and that is a haul too.

Thanks for correction. The travel distances are a logistical downside of going to 6 classes as each class is is own tournament and the additional classes result in additional travel at both the district play level and the tournament level. This 'negative' is directly attributable to additional classes and it is rarely discussed. But the impact is real and costly to schools.
