I don't see him going to Texas. He's built a dynasty at Alabama where he has a chance to catch or even surpass Bear Bryant. Why would he won't to rebuild Texas and fight that growing elephant in the room called A&M when he's got what he has in Alabama.

 

Trust me, the best football in Texas is played in East Texas and the Houston area, which is right in A&M's backyard. Houston is the third largest city in the nation. Texas is football crazy. A&M is in the SEC and have big plans for expansion.

 

I think Saban is much better off at Alabama if he's going to try to match or surpass Bear, which is more of a challenge than trying to win a national title at a third school where he's not really proving anything new because wins are expected.

 

It wouldn't surprise me if this kind of story is something that gets him a nice raise at 'Bama either.

Coaches have to love stories like these because it always leads to more money for them. Honestly, I don't know a lot about Sabin's contract and I'm not sure if Alabama can even pay him more. But I bet they come up with a few pennies.

 

Only place Sabin is leaving Bama for at this point is an NFL gig. And even then, it would have to be the right place. I can't imagine he'd jump at the chance to resurrect Jacksonville. But, Atlanta, maybe.
