4470 has it right. Why go to Lex or Lou to play 6A schools when you have good opponents here. New Cath may win a state title and is as good as some 6A schools. Conner is better than most 6A schools. What's the big deal? HC is down. Shouldn't have them on the schedule but it is what it is. When they were added it was to fill a void left by Danville.

 

So why wouldn't a 6A SCHOOL play Cov Cath, HHS and and maybe one Cincy school instead. It's really not that hard.

 

And you keep brining up NCC. Again, you're a 6A school that wants recognition... I don't care if NCC won state for the next 10 years, where you want every one to recognize you as a contender in 6A, there would still be know way NCC would be able to compete with you! It's actually comical that we are talking SK trying to be recognized as a top program in the state and you keep bringing up a 2A school as one of the better teams on the schedule. Would Male, T, X, or any of the other top contenders be talking about competing against a 2A team, let alone have one on their schedule?? Not a chance!!

 

Conner may be better than 6a schools around here, but that's not really saying much.

 

So you're fine with the schedule and you can truly say you feel the schedule helps you prepare for a state run against teams like SC, Male, T and X???? The Nky folks in 6a have this attitude of we'll never compete with those guys, so why really try. Well your exactly right, you'll never compete with those guys until your teams are truly challenged and exposed to that type of talent week in and week out. You say logistics, well others make it happen to compete. I say that's an excuse! Start with playing highland, Cov cath and a Cincy school and go from there. Logistics has very little to do with putting 3 very competitive teams on the schedule. No one said you had to go to Lexington and Louisville !
