I've seen that mentioned a few times now in various places. Is that a serious consideration at this point?

 

I could see it, especially if they brought back Choo or traded for Gardner. If Hamilton struggles to hit at the big league level for awhile it would be much easier to deal with if he played 2nd--you generally need more offense out of your outfielders. If he gets on base bat him leadoff, if he doesn't hit him 8th and hit the centerfielder leadoff.

I really hope they make a run at Inftante this offseason. If the do indeed trade BP for Gardner you'd have Gardner Infante Votto Bruce Meso Frazier Cozart Hamilton which would make a nice lineup
