I'm not trying to. If anything I feel the national rankings overrate all of the well known programs instead of looking at each individual team on a yearly basis. I feel BG is the best team in the state but none of us in KY are currently top 50 national material.

Why? Because a team BG beat is getting beat by a team we lost to by one (without our starting Qb in the 4th quarter)? Do tell?

 

Your starting QB had nothing to do with the kid not catching a ball that hit him in the hands on 4th and ballgame. Sounds like excuses from the 14-12 victory over BG from soooooo long ago.

Close game. McCallie is a really solid team and Ensworth, as everyone knows, is the real deal. They only beat T by 1, but, as most T fans will proclaim, that was there best played game of the year. McCallie loses to BGreen by 4 and I don't think anyone from the Purple side ever proclaimed that the McCallie game was there best game of the year. In addition, BG played on the road at McCallie, while T lost to Ensworth in there own back yard. Hard to make a claim for either T or BG being any better than the other, imo. Go by the comparable score alone and T looks better, but, throw in the road vs home game and it being the best game T has played and you could make a claim the other way, as well.

Actually after watching Colerain and Ensworth I would saw Colerain was better. Against Ensworth I felt we had a 50/50 shot either way throughout the game. Against Colerain there was only one moment that we had a shot, and it was quickly quashed by a 95 yard TD run. Between the two I think Colerain's speed and scheme is more decisive. Although Ferby is easily the best RB I have seen against the Rocks in a long time.

I agree. I was just pointing out that most T fans said that the game vs Ensworth was there best played game of the year, meaning T's best game. Never said I thought Ensworth was better than Colerain, although, it'd be a great game to see.

This is my train of thought. I will add that the fact that Ensworth didn't destroy McCallie makes who the best team in KY even muddier and this result did absolutely nothing to change my mind about BG being #1. Next week's results of Trinity/X will further fuel my beliefs. Just wait........

That win over McCallie is looking more impressive now! FWIW, Blackman destroyed a very good Class 6A Independence team tonight 47-6. If BG can defeat Blackman that will be a huge statement.

They do not. It appears the Purples are primed to take a shot at the Blaze. Should be a great game. I'm not big on moral victories but looks like BG will give them all they want. Wish I could see the game. Good luck to the Purples.
