RoadRunner
Nice game. Birds answered this challenge tonight. Went down 1-0 and came back with a nice goal by Taylor Vaughn before half. Highlands went first on PKs 1-1 after the first round with Brooklynn Rivers hitting for the Birds then 2-1 HHS with the second NDA attempt high Then 3-1 The third NDA attempt hit left post Highland's Kayla Nehus nailed the 4th and it was over. Kiersten Clukey and Allyson Bridewell made the other PKs for the Birds

Jack of all Trades
Hard fought game by both teams where you hate to see a loser. I said it a few weeks ago that this HHS team was better than they were getting credit for and tonight they showed some toughness both mentally and physically for the full 80 minutes. Hopefully they can string a few together here and finish out the regular season strong and make some noise come tourney time.
RoadRunner
Its like CovCath beating HHS in Varsity Football. It calls for a celebration. It was a much improved team for Highlands over the last several games. They have given up 1 or no goals over the last 5 games. Now they play the winner of Sacred Heart and Lex Cath for the final Saturday night in Lexington.

imsays
Didn't see this coming after a tie to Beechwood and the loss to Woodford cty, but maybe a few adjustments can send the birds on a nice run!
JMU31
Who was the last team to beat NDA in NKY before this game? Thinking it had to be 2 or 3 years ago, maybe the year St henry won state?
Oldbird
2010 was the year of St. Henry I believe. I think both Highlands and St. Henry beat them that year.

No adjustments made. Isn't Woodford ranked in the top 20 of the state and that is a bad loss? They then turned around and dominated them on Monday night. The girls played hard for the entire 80 minutes and deserved the outcome as did the Pandas, but someone had to lose. Hopefully they now realize they can play with anyone and bring the same intensity to those games as they did last night.
