Raceland (3-1) crosses the Ohio river to Coal Grove to play Dawson-Bryant (0-3) this Friday. Any prediction, thoughts on this one ?

Absolutely not Ram. A lot of us fans over on this side of the big pond may not like to admit it but imo Ohio H.S., for the most part, plays better football than KY. schools do.

A for the Hornets, yes they can play. Coal Grove has a tradition / history of very good football. They may not as good much of an OH. State Playoff history as others in Ohio do but making the playoffs in Ohio is hard to do, a team has to be very good. Those guys don't play that "everyone goes to the party" ball like we do here. I am going to wait until later to make my pick.

Rams by 14.

Rams have too much speed and I think it will offset Coal Grove's size.

Two of the teams they played are very, very good and barring some sort of catastrophe both should win a playoff game or three. The other school they defeated as you can see by the provided link supports a, 2-1 record. They won't make the playoffs, but seem to have things moving in the right direction.

 

I think the Rams win, but if they come in sleeping they will cross the river going home with a big L.

Coal Grove is generally a pretty decent team. They are big and have a solid running game.

That, for me anyway goes back to what I have said earier about Ohio teams for the most part are better football teams than KY teams. We don't like admitting it but, for our area anyway that's the way that it seems to play out. I will say that gap has gotten smaller in recent years.

Only one way to find out, both teams are big, strong and play good football....Tighten the chin straps, shoulder pads,tee it up, commence the slobber knockers and find out.
