Final.

Boyd played the Rams tough at first, Rams lead was only 7-0 after the first qtr.. Raceland's sze and experience/depth took control and scored 27 in the 2nd qtr.. Raceland finished this one on a running clock and the JV and Freshmen teams getting some good varsity experience.

Boyd Co. kids played hard, did not quit and I believe that several of the Lions are underclassmen which looks good for the future.

I had forgotten to mention that the Raceland Defense scored twice in this game. Connor Messer got another pic 6 and ran an interception back to the house and we had a fumble recovery and run for a TD by a lineman.

Way to go DEFENSE !

 

BTW- The radio crew either didn't get the no./name or I didn't hear them say who picked up the fumble and took it in for a TD...A lineman's dream. So, Ram, doc, TCA or someone who got the fumble/TD ? Lets give them some mention. :thumb:

There were a few mistakes by the PA guy but we saw the players.

Boyd County came out and played a great defensive scheme but our size and experience took over. The Raceland defense is the real deal and has definitely made our offense look better at times. We have returned 3 INT's and 1 Fumble for touchdowns and 1 kick return. That's 4 TD's by the defense/special teams in 3 games. Congrats to the Raceland Rams D!!!!

Young on the 29 yard fumble scoop and score, and Connor (Messer's) 50 yard interception return were the two defensive scores.

Thanks, I don't know how they got lineman from a CB 10, especially with the size of our line. Unless Young is und 6'4 or so and weighs 250-300 ?? :eek:

Yes, there were but I am certainly appreciative of getting radio/Inet broadcast. I wish that the school could work something out for a regular station, radio broadcast of Raceland games.
