Conner's Cameron Ross commits..

Featured Replies

Is Cameron going in as pitcher or player? Dual role maybe?

A reliable source indicates Ross was recruited as an OF but could possibly pitch or play IF depending on team needs. His versatility, arm strength and speed allow for that plus has a good bat.

My understanding is that Cameron will be a walk-on. Could get some academic money as he is a very good student.

Agree, have heard from several he's a very good student but not a walk-on. D1 baseball coaches only have 11 or so full rides to spread over 30-35 players so they like finding kids with high academics.

I hope Cameron much success as he represents NKY baseball and the opportunities future players receive and helps the area with recognition of the talent in the region. My understanding is he was awarded a full ride academically or almost full ride. Mr. Ross has chosen a demanding and challenging academic path that alone is commendable; setting a standard for other student athletes in the area. This is the type of athlete colleges are seeking and its needs to be instilled in our baseball players as much as throwing a curveball or turning on an inside pitch at the earliest ages.

Cameron Ross received a full academic scholarship to UC at last night's awards ceremony.

Big time.

I should add that Conner starts 4 seniors who are in the National Honor Society.
