That woman is an idiot. It's no ones fault but her own that her child was hit. Get a clue.

Idiot. Dude is a better man than most I'd say. Not sure how many guys would take a punch to the face from a stranger and walk away.

Here's the problem...that's not a skate park. That's just a public area and the skateboarder probably shouldn't even be there.

The article begs to differ.

The article is also written by Bleacher Report so facts are optional.

Just watch the video...does that look like a skate park to you?

Oh and I wanted to add...that still doesn't justify the woman being an idiot.

Don't care if it's a skate park or not, but we'll put my dislike of skateboard bans to the side for now.

It was an accident, the kid didn't get hit that hard and will be fine.

Mom should be charged with assault.

It matters whether it was a skate park or not. Skateboards are dangerous when unsuspecting children are wondering about. Either way, it doesn't give the woman the right to punch the guy in the face. That being said, I wouldn't punch a guy in the face but I also would not be happy if my child was ran over by a skateboarder who is outside the skate park.

So if a kid walks out in front of a kid on a skateboard on a sidewalk, it's the skateboarder's fault? I don't think so...

It's certainly not the child's fault. That isn't a kid on a skateboard in the video, either. That looks to be a 20-25 year old man.

Then it's no-fault... You can't expect the skateboarder to be responsible for seeing the kid, but the kid not be responsible for seeing the skateboarder.

As for the video, the woman clearly wasn't watching her kid, as she wasn't even the first person that got to him. He is a much better man than me, because at the very least, she would have been in jail very soon after this incident. Her poor parenting was just as much at fault for this accident as the guy on his skateboard.

What if the skateboarder was skating in an area where no skateboarding is allowed? Then whose fault is it?

The skateboarder's. That wasn't the case in this story, and isn't the case on most sidewalks either.
