Justin Johnson Names Final 5

Quite a mix of schools. I thinks it's WKU also.

I'm going with WKU too. I would like to see him go Auburn, maybe catch him in Rupp against the Cats.

His good friend Rob Marberry committed to WKU today as a preferred walk-on.

I will attend Western Kentucky University next year for basketball! #Hilltoppers #WKU

Why would Marberry walk on when he had scholarship offers out there from 5 other schools? It sounds like WKU still has scholarships available? I would think he could wait it out for an offer from them? I'm assuming money is not on object or could he be on academic assistance? Or was it just a love for WKU? Any insight Wireman?

My understanding is that he'll walk-on his first year and possibly redshirt, then start the next season.

Not Wireman, but as far as him walking on, I don't think money is an issue with his family. This is likely a case where he simply wanted to go where he felt the most comfortable socially, academically, and athletically.

Must be nice to be able to pass on 5 free offers and pay out of state tuition.

Or is he close enough to WKU to get a reciprocal deal?

Purple Pride I'm giving you up for adoption, please call the Marberry's.

Back to the thread. I love the Johnson kid's game. He will be a great college player. I'd love to see him join his buddy at WKU and lead the hilltoppers to the big dance.

I think wherever he lands, he will play one year and end up back with a small mountain school like all other East Kentucky raised kids do.
