2014 Covcath G Nick Ruthsatz

Featured Replies

Nick told me tonight that he currently holds offers from D2 Findlay (OH) and West Liberty (WV).

Has visited Wofford, UNC-Asheville, and EKU.

Looked good at Beechwood open gym tonight.

Two nice D2 programs

Findlay must really like the NKY talent with offers out to Ruthsatz, Schulte, and Moeves.

If you are looking for a perfect fit with style of play West Liberty fits Ruthsatz perfectly.

Agreed.

Thought I heard he was holding off for a D1 offer?

Didn't they average over 100 ppg a couple years ago? I believe Pelle was apart of the team.

Not sure about averaging over 100 ppg but they are one of the highest scoring if not the highest scoring teams annually at the D2 level. Their philosphy has been that they will just out score you and not overly concerned defensively. They press, trap and gamble on defense to speed up the game and get more possessions.

I think we have talked about tis in another thread about Ruthsatz and his D1 potential. Only takes one D1 school to make the offer and you are a D1 player.

I had the opportunity to sit with 4 very good D2 coaches in Indy to watch Ruthsatz. Two thought he was very good and thought he would be a very good player in their conference. The other two did not like his game and did not think he would be a good fit in their progams.

It's going to have to be the right system at either level for Ruthsatz to be successful at the next level.

I can see that....you either like his game or you dont. I respect his abilities and think he is very good but all the head fakes(acting like he gets hit) and Oscar Mayer Bologna swag on the court may not be as appreciated by some coaches.

Rule 8

Very good player who might play with the right D-1 team, but still may not get much PT. I think he will play more at D-2 level. Hope the kid gets what he wants.
