2015 Billy Miller Silver Grove

Featured Replies

Hard nosed kid. Not the caliber of those mentioned as top players in the class of 2015, but a nice player.

Problem with Silver Grove is that they play to their level of competition which typically means they play the local smaller schools and many other schools on the schedule that are a little further away.

They typically don't turn in their scores to the local paper so it is very hard to follow the success of the young players. Hard to find stats on the team as well.

The advantage those kids have it that a lot of them get playing time from their freshman season to their senior season so they can develop into very good ball players as Billy has. It's a shame we don't get to hear more about kids from the Grove and from other smaller schools. It seems like it only happens when you get a Corey Pelle or some other freaky good athlete from one of those smaller schools.

Good luck to the Billy and the Grove this year. Always fun to to see the Big Trains in action and hopefully stop by Pelle's after the game.

Super athletic and very good defensively. He needs to work on finishing with left hand and his jump shot. He needs to play for a good AAU team if he wants to be taken seriously.

I have considered working with Billy before, as I have heard very good things about him. But, just as someone stated, there numbers, and games just aren't very publicized. Wanted to find a game to see, but none that would have given me a good judgement of how good he really is. I would love to see him in action this year. Keep us all updated!

I watched him play over summer against Williamstown at the nku camp and he took over the game he had to have over 25 points with numerous blocks if he can keep his head hes a great player

Williamstown is a very bad team at this moment due to the very young players. That is not a good judge of his ability. District seeding games would show true ability (for ex: vs. Scott, Brossart, and/or Campbell Co.)

True from what I've heard besdies Holbrook and Jackson, Campbell county isn't that good.. Scott and Brossart should beat them good and silver grove may have a good game

& back to miller I heard he turned down 2 or 3 good AAU teams this summer bad mistake for him to join a bad one in a rec league

Whoever told you that is wrong. CC will be very good this year.

Matt Wilson & Trenton McGoveny are going to be really nice players, and both of the Franzen boys are real solid players. I'm sure I'm missing some, too. CCHS should be pretty good.

Camels, Mustangs, and Eagles are going to be very good. They will be 3 of the top 5 in the Region again.

I think he would have a better chance to play college level ball if they had a different coach also. The season game against villa last year I watch. Sg's coach sat him the whole second half and they weren't to bad behind. He may of done something to deserve it I don't know butmiller had 15 points in the first half he should make a wiser decision than sit him. There coach before him sounded like he adapted with the team well and I hardly even saw miller on the bench

Ex-coach was a GENIUS!!:dancingpa

new Coach is not bad either. I am sure he was using basketball to teach a life lesson. Maybe that moment was a teachable moment. Coaches don't sit their best players unless they are in foul trouble or a "point" needs to be made.

Had a chance to see Billy Miller in action last night.

Nice player. Hustles. Scores. Takes care of the ball. Team leader.

Best of luck to junior Billy Miller the rest of the season.
