I think the first episode was more to set up the different aspects for this season. I seen nothing wrong with that, they have to slowly introduce these aspects.

The state of the group coming into the episode was 30 days without an accident, there isn't going to be a outbreak on the first episode. You have to build to these things.

October 14, 201312 yr The shower boy was raving about the deer that he ate. Rick was pretty focused on the sick pig, now the dead pig. Could it be that they are eating animals that are infected, and eating them will eventually make you turn?

Plus haven't they been trapping and eating animals from the wild?
