I closed the other thread, each 7 on 7 deserves its own thread.

I went today, I will give my thoughts in a bit:

Here is a picture of the Press Box:

I couldn't begin to tell you any names...

Was it a big 6'6 kid or an average size kid?

I need some help here. They did have a tall kid but they also used a kid that looked like Fullback.

The tall kid would be Matt Wilson and the fullback would be Avery Wood I believe..

Random thoughts:

Holmes has a lot of work to do. Their speed made up for some bad technique and suspect throws but again they have a lot of work to do. The Holmes coaches were highly involved. The Bulldogs looked on the small side to me.

Campbell has some nice looking kids. They were a little inconsistent on both sides of the ball but overall I thought the Camels looked solid. I am confident Coach Lickert will get the most out of his talent.

Boone looks nothing like Boone of the past, their QB Jamar Lamb looked pretty good to me. Boone had several players catch the ball well but they had some bad drops too. Growing pains I suppose. Additionally, some of Boone's players need to be better conditioned.

Cooper has it going on. They were missing Morgan but they came out with multiple players throwing and catching the ball and they all looked solid. Well coached bunch. On top of that, the word among the 20 or so fans in the bleachers was that Cooper has a big time running backing transferring in from out of state. He has relatives at Cooper and supposed to be an absolute stud as both a RB and LB.

The complex and field at Campbell County are awesome!!! Really nice. All the Kenton County schools are hooked up with turf, now Campbell is hooked up and other than Ryle the Boone County football fields are a complete joke. The Boone system needs to quit making excuses and get turf on all their football fields. Rant over...

It was the 6/6 kid

My take on the 7-7's

Cooper vs Boone (1st game, they played twice). Toss up, flip a coin. Both did some really nice things and both had a couple mistakes. Draw.

Cooper vs Holmes. Cooper dominated. Holmes may have a very long year. Holmes may have the smallest (height ) in NKY. Holmes had too many drops and their QB is very short.

Campbell vs Cooper: this one went to Cooper. CC has some nice size and should have a very solid short game. Cooper just had too many weapons. I believe Cooper used 2 QB's against CC and Holmes and both looked good and were able to get a couple TD drives each.

Boone vs Cooper rd 2. Cooper scored 3 quick ones to Boones first TD. Boone does have some nice speed with a new player this yr. he is a sr. Tony and I can't remember his last name. Very good wr.

Morgan didn't play for Cooper today due to hernia surgery but they had enough to pick him up with B Youngblood, Fussinger (when he wasn't QB) and Tanner Kissle along with Richie Paul's. that they showed they have some great wr threats.

All 4 had numerous catches and TD's.

Campbell's complex is awesome. The scoreboard is pretty sweet!

I second with what Guru said and that is Boone schools need to wake up and get field turf. They have the worst fields in the area minus Ryle.

Great job CC with your facility. The jumbo trim should be sweet.
