Schedules are up for Eddie Fords Hoopfest.... What are your thoughts? I have heard a lot about Team Nashville.... They could potentially upset some things.

Extremely weak field compared to what Hoopfest used to be before certification was lost.

I agree. I think this tournament will recover because Eddie runs a well organized event, but it may take a few years. There used to be tons of teams per age group.

I didn't see the Bulldogs on that schedule?

The Bulldogs are playing in the Bluechip Exposure Showcase at Midamerica this weekend and then heading to Ft. Wayne next week for their D1 national tournament. I'm sure they will be at this event next year because it is nice to play local after the Adidas event in Indy, but their schedule was set before Hoopfest was even announced this year.

Is this event being held at the convention center by the 6 flags park? My son played there last year though Eddie did not have his name on the tourney. Pretty cool to see all of those courts under one roof.

They bring in a lot of college courts near the entrance. Make sure your kids realize they will shooting collegiate 3's on those courts. Tat extra foot or so can make a difference.

Yes. It's the same tourney as last year. Eddie couldn't have his name on the tourney because of an NCAA certification snafu. I think it was called the Adidas Nations last year, but I'm not totally sure.

The Retros should win this tournament going away. Anybody know who is on the Colonels team, because they had mostly kids who were picked up by the Travelers this year?

Losing certification didn't help, but he did get somebody last year to use for the certifcation purposes. The biggest issue is the NCAA date change in July on when coaches can be out. There is less time now, which means other tournaments are occurring at the same time as the Hoopfest and teams are again choosing those other tournaments for a second year in a row. Eddie Ford's tournament used to be pretty much the only game in the town in the area before these date changes.

Louisville Magic 15 won their first game this morning. Didn't see score though.

Louisville Magic 15s got beat by Tennessee Tigers. Magic 16s beat Tennessee Tigers. 16s 2-0 in pool play. Hagen Tyler with 28 pts to go along with 10 rebounds. Colton Elkins with a very solid game inside.
