Andrew Bynum signs with Cavs

Featured Replies

Risky move for Cavs.

That ties up $12 million of Lebrons money.

Waste of money

Didn't want Noel because of his knee but they sign Bynum for twice what Nerlens would have made.

Makes no sense guess he's somewhat proven...?

I think this deal only ties up $6 mil this season. Team option for year two, plus he has to play and be healthy to collect the other $6 mil this season. I actually think the Cavs played this perfectly.

IMO, the combination of Bennett and Bynum is better than Nerlens and whatever piece they would have tried to procure with a contract similar to Bynum's.

All predicated on if Bynum stays healthy.

Kyrie, Waiters, Jarrett Jack, Bennett, Earl Clark, Tristan Thompson, Bynum- I am liking what the Cavs have done. Two big questions- 1. Can this team stay healthy ( not just Bynum, but also Kyrie)? 2. Is this enough to make Lebron come home after 2014?

I do think this team can make the playoffs as a 7 or 8 seed- which is a better supporting cast than Lebron ever had in his time there.

Low risk high reward. Great deal

Or just throwing money down the drain. 10% of the salary cap. If he's healthy they will just be good enough to sneak in the playoffs and not get a lottery pick in this loaded draft.

I think it's a good signing. However, would they have been better off being awful and getting another high pick (not signing Jack and Bynum) and stocking the cabinet for a LeBron run that way?

If healthy, I think Cleveland can be a playoff team. Is Sideshow Bob still there?

Yes.
