September 20, 201313 yr Author Really thought they'd save that episode for the finale....Wonder what's going to come in the final 2? :idunno: As I was watching it, I thought it was the finale. Not until the end when they gave the promo for next week's episode did I realize that there was more to come. My immediate thought was just what you said here. I admit that for a minute I thought he was alive. Rookie mistake. The show's darkness should have told me he was dead. Well, I never even considered the show's dark tone, but you're right. Shouldn't have expected anything less. Great question. It's one of those shows that makes me wonder how they can do a season 2 if somehow season 1 doesn't wrap up this story . I don't know if they have plans for a second season, but that's also a good question. Perhaps there will be something in the last two episodes that will serve as a lead-in/teaser for a follow-up season.

There's gotta be something going on with the drug lord in Mexico....Can't remember his name, but something has to happen with him. Also, what's the purpose of the chick with the tunnel and her friend? Lot of aspects that have kind of come and gone with no real purpose so far IMO.

The upcoming episode says that Charlotte (the widowed woman with the tunnel on her property) forms an alliance with an unexpected someone. I'm guessing that will be the drug cartel guy. Fausto maybe is his name?
September 20, 201313 yr I agree with those who didn't realize that last night was not the season finale. Sure did feel like it. So besides the bodies on the bridge which seems to be wrapped up, you still have the tunnel to Mexico, and the strange bearded guy who extracts women from Mexico and takes them to the religious guy's farm. Not really sure how all these stories lines will tie together. Also with them solving the issue of the bodies on the bridge, what keeps Marco working with Sonya now that the case is finished. Seems like he should go back to Mexico working with the state police.

From the previews for next weeks episode, it looks like he does go back (only to the bars, not the police), and Sonya comes to try to convince him to help her find the missing girls.
September 20, 201313 yr On an unrelated note, in one of the recent episodes, there was a scene when Sonya was chasing Marco. She kept yelling "Marco". And I kept waiting for him to say "Polo". Anyway, I really like the show and I think Diane Kruger is an excellent actress.
October 2, 201313 yr Tonight is the season finale...How will it end? Anyone know if it's been picked up for a second season (I can't imagine it won't be)?

October 3, 201313 yr Author Bit of a ho-hum finale, though the final scene was effective in setting up Season 2.
July 9, 201412 yr Bit of a ho-hum finale' date=' though the final scene was effective in setting up Season 2.[/quote'] New season starts tonite.
July 9, 201412 yr Really was into this show until the last couple of episodes, hoping Season 2 is a good one. Kinda of like The Americans, loved that show the first Season, couldn't even make it thru Season 2, lost interest.
