I will give Barbara Walters the benefit of the doubt as it looks like good ol' Whoopie got it wrong saying Maher had called him retarded, not that he had called him a retard. Wonder if she did that on purpose to carry the water for Maher? Walter's statement makes a little more sense given that misinformation she had at the time she made it.

I am not a Sarah Palin fan in any way or fashion, but family members should be off limits of high profile persons, unless they call attention to themselves if they are adults. Kids should always be off limits. No excuse for using "retard" in any form or fashion. I don't care anything about shock value, Maher's comments clearly are way over the line.
June 23, 201313 yr I don't think its cool to make fun of any mentally handicap person regardless of age. I didn't think I had to make that distinction but I will clarify. Any non-handicapped person 18 or over is fair game for comedians.
