Does Cooper open @ Ryle?

Well my statement isnt blank at all you really havent supplied any facts and im still gonna disagree with you as i have seen most of the kids you are speaking of and ive seen then when they were younger so like i sd bottomline season is around the corner and we will see who ends up being right then ill be happy to continue the discussion and or during the season. But I love a good arguement we will see when they start playing for real.

These kids you say you have seen when they were younger then you know they were annual allstars in Bcpwfl and would go down to Loisville each year and compete against mid west all star teams and have made it to the championship game year after year.

 

So really not sure who you've seen play, apparently it wasn't any of these boys.

Actually disregard my last post. You're probably right. These players who have played since 2011 on the first Cooper team to go undefeated in district and last year that helped them reach the state championship game are actually not very good at all.

 

I just hope those boys can shock the world and learn how to catch and run the ball.

I was speaking of the returning seniors who played in Louisville 4 straight years in championship games last one back on 2008.

Ok what team and what age went straight down there and won 4 straight it all wasnt same team and lets be honest the older division in louisville the 14 u isnt deep usually only 3 teams in it max and or teams are cheating etc and those seniors played under the bandits name and they lost to the dayton flames im not saying there wasnt talent out there im saying they arent deep at the skill postions and last i looked the tailback on that team went to dixie and is at dixie not cooper. Now i will say this if not for cooper i think ryle (with better coaching ) would be a powerhouse but all the kids from the bcpwfl get split up so a deep team from that league cant just funnel to one high school. To many high schools in close proximity breaking up the talent cooper killed ryles state chances the moment it was founded. If you could keep most of those kids under a roof like say ryle they would do big things but because they get split up is why i think is paticular class is thin at the skill spots now down the road they actually will be deep in those spots because they have some talented groups coming.

You didn't read my post. I said played in the championship game 4 years not won them all 4 years straight. Their 8 th grade year boone didn't take the 8th graders down because they were playing in the first Boone vs Campbell/Kenton allstar game, which they won btw.

 

You btw we're following another team because the tailback we took down with us plays for Boone Co and his name is Casey Boston and it wasn't teams just from Louisville, matter of fact one of those title games were from a team out of Chicago.

 

I am talking about seniors this year. You may be right and they may not be as "deep" as every team would love to be, but tell me what team is 6 great receivers deep and so on? Wr position alone they have 4 very good WR's to start with all seniors. How much deeper do you want to go? I don't know about this years sophomore class, didn't get enough time to watch them last year except for a good RB and another receiver to add.

 

I'd like for you to tell us what team in the area is deep at skill positions according to your definition so I could at least get an idea where you are coming from.

Lockman, don't get me wrong. If you are simply talking about "deep" as in a lot of talent at the skill positions going 2, 3, 4 and 5 deep etc. Then I agree with you, but then again I don't know of any team in the area deep like that.

 

I look at it this way. They have been this deep for the last 3 years (including this year) when it comes to skill positions.

2011 they had AJ Branch as #1 Wr, their #2 Wr was a sophomore etc. AJ Collins moved to HB after the start of the season and his FB positon was replaced by a sophomore that year etc. Morgan who was also a sohpmore that year got a ton of playing time at WR also. The backup QB in 2011 who also split time as starter through first several games of 2011 was Ludwig...a sophomore. A couple other WR's who were sophomores that same year who got a lot of playing time behind Fussinger and Morgan were Kissel and Pauls.

 

2012 all of those players mentioned either started (including Ludwig as starting TE in 2012) or came off the bench often with the rotating of WR's they used.

 

So maybe they aren't deep at skill position behind the in coming seniors, that I can't talk much about because I don't know where all the in coming Juniors will be playing, but I do know they may actually be deeper at some skill positions than they have ever been just due to the in coming senior class who have contributed big over the past 2 years in the success of this team.

 

I just know with High School Football that your starting 11 don't usually depend on a lot of depth unless their are injuries etc.

 

With all that said, I don't know how good the team will be until they start playing. They lost a lot off their O and D lines which will be a very telling tale this year. One thing I am very happy about is the best Line coach in the area returned this year which can do nothing but help.

 

Like you said, we'll see. But as far as depth goes, as I said, we aren't any thinner than they've been the past 2 years so I really am not too concerned and we are deeper at WR (when I say deeper I mean we have more WR's that can contribute than we've ever had imo.) than we've ever been. The telling tale will be replacing Tyler Morris at QB and the line play.

You're kidding right with the comment that Cooper is the reason Ryle doesn't have State chances? Cooper just completed it's 5th year of existence. Ryle was established in 1992 and been to the State Championship once if memory serves me correctly (2007?) so what was the reason prior to Cooper's creation in 2008 when the team started out it's 1st 3 "talent loaded" seasons at 2-8, 3-7, and 3-7? Ryle has and will always have mass talent at that school. It's what is being done with that talent is the reason there haven't been more State Championship runs. I get tired of the argument about the reason that Ryle isn't better is because of Cooper's existence. Cooper went from being the doormat of Boone Co. to a competitor, a district champion and a State runner-up in only it's 5th year so let's talk about doing more with less! Like I said, there is a boatload of talent in the Ryle boarders so don't blame the few Cooper players, whom many of which would have been at Conner or Boone anyway, for it's track record.

It makes a lot of sense now the hate he seems to have toward Cooper now. I was too into the entire "Thin at skill positions" coment to actually realize what was happening. It sounds like Cooper envy from Lockman more than anything else.

Dead on....Cooper basically was opened to lessen the overcrowding at Conner. The majority of the kids at Cooper were in Conner's school district, next in line would be the Boone kids, and the least of the kids would have attended Ryle. Ryle was the least impacted school from Cooper opening.

cooper envy hahahahahah really envy what exactly........and hahahahaha cooper envy wow thats funny now you and doubledeuce and mr sixer can all jump in the leaky boat youve built and drown they are thin and ill keep saying it. Now it doesnt matter to me what ryle does either but the fact is alot of those good kids your refering too including the morgan kid would be playing at ryle making ryle alot better team and they would have alot more talent than they do now....And so would conner ryle and cooper are basically on top of each other and that splits up the talent and thats not debateable... And as far a cooper going to state good for them and as far as your louisville teams a team went down louisville the year of that all star game your speaking of im not gonna go back and forth. Cooper is gonna be tough in the years to come and like i sd they will compete this year but that cooper envy comment hahahahah common man seriously. And its possible for a school to be new and get lucky and have some talent coming to the school and be successful. AND to all three of you dont act like nky high school football is that tough anyway so calm down. AND weither you like it or not cooper opening hurt ryle not saying ryle doesnt have any talent coming up but the fact is it split talent that school wouldve had period .
